Do you say ויהי נועם on Motzei Shabbos when Erev Pesach falls out on Friday?
This motzei Shabbos, Shabbos hagadol ,the Mishna berurah states (הלכות שבת סימן רצה רצו) that we do say Viyhi Noam since Pesach does not start during the six days of the week the first day Pesach is on Shabbos. Although Erev Pesach falls out on Friday and it is a yom tov, never the less it is not a yom tov Gamur it is like Purim and therefore we say ויהי נועם on the motzei shabbos before.
You neglected to add the words "in my humble opinion." There are other opinions that state that we do NOT say Viyhi Noam. We did not say it, according to the psak of the Rav of our yishuv.
ReplyDeleteIt is not his humble opinion. He quoted the משנה ברורה. It would be beyond chutzpah to call the opinion of the משנה ברורה humble.
DeleteIn fact, the Rav of your yo shiv would need a very convicing position to argue on the פסק of the משנה ברורה.
Where did anyone say their own opinion (humble or otherwise)? All is says is "the Mishna berurah states...".
DeleteThe Rav of his yishuv does not need a very convincing position to argue on the mishna berura - he could just look in the same mishna berura for the dissenting opinions to justify the minhag of his yishuv.
