Rabbis sign letter
No signatures from any Agudah Rabbonim and not a single sefardi Rav
Yes, but it doesn't take a political science doctorate in Rabbinic Kremlinology to understand that he didn't sign a controversial rabbinic document without any clearance/permission, or even, instruction, from his employer organization.
And other than Rav Michel Twersky, not a single notable rag. These are all either unheard of people, or people of whom the same letters can be written.
Does cross currents not often misrepresent Torah??? What about NCSY? What about the BDA?
Why don't you change the inaccurate headline? Rabbi Shafran, who is the spokesman for Agudah, would not sign if the moetzes or the Novominsker Rebbe were opposed to the petition. The Novominsker has publicly denounced Rabbi Mizrachi. There are 3 sephardic rabbis on the petition.
Would these Rabbis same the same of Moshe Rabbeinu and his Torah straight from Har Sinai. Its been many years and many countries and many cultures and much assimilation, like a slow dripping faucet. Shame.
Rabbi Avi Shafran?
ReplyDeletehes not the moetzes or an official representative of agudah.
DeleteRabbi Shafran is the media liaison for the Agudah. I'd say that's pretty official.
