Resolutions following Boro park Internet Asifa 5773/ 2013



The Following resolutions were posted  Erev Shavuos 5773 following the Yiddish speaking Internet Asifa of the Ichud hakehilos Letohar Hamachaneh, which took place in Brooklyn on May 9, 2013. Most of the Signatories are Chasidisheh Rabbonim, this psak only pertains to their respective kehillos. Free translation from the Hebrew letter.

1. Internet use even with a good filter  should only be used for Parnassah and simillar instances.

2. 
a. Any Gadget or computer that is not properly guarded with a fool proof filter is assur to use with no exceptions.
 b. The Filter must be guarded under the auspices of a established organization which is under the supervision of Rabbonim and one that can not be removed on its own.
3. Principals and mechanchim and Roshei Mosdos have agreed to let children continue their learning in the respected schools for the coming school year, on condition that the parents are adhere to the Takanos which are agreed to by the Rabbonim.

4. Anyone who בעו'הר (due to our sins) owns a gadget or computer without a proper filter can not serve the tzibbur in any capacity of מילי דשמיא  such as a Shochet a Sofer and he is not worthy of  serving as a baal koreh or to be motzie the olam as a shliach Tzibbur.
