BD'H Petirah of Hagaon hatzadik Rav Zundel Kroizer Zatzal

Petirah of hagaon hatzadik Rav Zundel kroizer Z'TL from the ziknei Yerushalayim. He was 90 years old. In recent days his health deteriorated and he was hospitalized fighting for his life. He was niftar this morning the Levaya will take place this afternoon in Yerushalayim at 4 pm from Rechov Rashi to har hamenuchos. Rav Zundel grew up in the Yishuv hayashan. He grew up near machne Yehuda and was very close with Rav Eliyashiv z'tl. (Read special tribute by Rabbi Pinchos Lipshutz editor of Yated Ne'eman)  At the age of 9 he would recite tikkun chatzos and daven vasikin at nearby Botei Broide. He would travel to Bnei brak to the Chazon Ish together with Rav Chaim Brim z'tl.

Hgr"z Kroizer  was born in Jerusalem Twenty-seventh of  Tishrei 1924, his father Rabbi Tzvi Hersh Kreuzer zt - was a grandson of Rabbi Chaim Volozhiner. 
He was known as a iluy who dedicated his life to Torah and tefillah. People from all over would come to him and ask him to daven for them, as it was said his tefillos would go straight up top the kisei hakavod. His seforim Ohr hachama are well known covering all facets fromTorah, Tefilah, and talmud. he also wrote פירוש אור החמה and on the siddur and tehilim.
His house was open to all though he lived very simple bedachkus, His wife who passed away afew years ago was known for her hachnosas Orchim there was also a gemach for money changing run out of the house by his sons. When people came to get a bracha or for a yeshua he would say ' I take it upon myself to study this masechta for a Refuah for so and so and many were helped. Although he grew up in the old yishuv of Yerushalayim, he would participate in the elections for the knesset and vote for Agudas yisrael based on a ruling he received from the Chazon Ish. He briefly served as one of the Rabbonim of Yeshiva Kochav Yaakov of Tchebin. He leaves over Children and grandchildren who continue in his way his son Rav Chaim is currently the Rosh Yeshiva in Tchebin.
