"Op-Ed By YWN Editor: Enough of The Massive Chillul Hashem On Chol Hamoed Outings!"
bla bla bla...
Despite the thousands of families that went on chol hamoed trips the YWN editor found the few who in his own mind did not behave properly and publicizes it for the world painting klal yisrael in a bad light. spreading LH and Motzie shem ra on Yiddin the world over.
This article is surely making a very big " Kiddush Hashem"..NOT!!....First of all its not an op-ed its should be called an editorial. So, before lecturing Klal yisrael, anonymously bad mouthing the am hanivchar to the entire world one should have proper writing skills and basic knowledge of the English Language.
From Wikipedia -"An op-ed (originally short for "opposite the editorial page") is a piece typically published by newspapers, magazines, and the like which expresses the opinions of a named author usually not affiliated with the publication's editorial board.[1] Op-eds are different from both editorials (opinion pieces submitted by editorial board members) and letters to the editor (opinion pieces submitted by readers)."
Secondly One only sees what he wants to see.
Third why is there no name signed on to the letter? who authored it? is there any rav that approves of bashmutzing klal yisrael to the masses publicizing lashon hora on such a grand fashion? On chol hamoed of all days??? FEH FEH
Well-said! Two more points:
ReplyDelete1) He uses the word "Chareidi" to describe the wrongdoers. What is a "Chareidi"? How does he know that these people ascribe to the ambiguous "Chareidi" belief system?
Why is "Chareidi" relevant - is he suggesting that because they're supposedly "Chareidi", thats what caused them to be behave incorrectly?
2) Why was he quoting the anti-Semite Ed May? If he really felt there was an issue with people climbing a monument in a park that does NOT have signs, then say so on your own. Why did he quote Mr. May, the noted anti-Semite?
