Today Erev Rosh Chodesh Kislev- the gedolim have called on all for a Yom Tefillah as well as to daven Mincha with Yom Kippur Koton. This is due to the situation affecting Klal Yisrael both in the US, due to Hurricane Sandy and in Eretz Yisrael. The South has come under rocket fire and the threat of an escalation from hamas terrorists after Israel killed the hamas military chief in Gaza.Both Rav Shteinman and the Belzer Rebbe have ordered Yeshivos in the South and in areas under rocket fire to relocate to the center of the country until the danger will pass.
