  1. Cant believe agudah is welcoming Yanky Horowitz to speak at the convention after he defied the moetzes on the Marky bill and continues to undermine the chinich of the frum Torah community. Continues to bash rabbonim and the leadership while pandering to the Modern Orthodox crowds.
Says a lot about the direction agudah has taken.

    1. Its not Yanky Horowitz from Monsey but Rav Yaakov Horowitz from Boro Park The Rosh Yeshiva of Beis Meir and the Rav of Telzer minyan

    2. No, its actually Yanky Horowitz the golfer who went against the moetzes and is a charedi apologist what a shame the Agudah is letting him speak?
please email the Agudah about this and let them know you are outraged at giving YH a platform.

    3. Please. If they lack a backbone in the eishes ish fiasco, this is a natural continuation of it. And what of the politics in inviting Rabbi Doniel Alter? Why is that OK?

    4. HoRav Samuel Kaminetzky. Rabbi Aaron Feldman. Why the difference in titles?

  2. How can the Agudah put up someone to speak who spits the moetzes in the face?
The Agudah wants to be relevant and discuss the abuse issue but there is a wide list of rabbonim who can represent the issue and facts. Putting Yanky up there proves that someone did not do their homework.

  3. Seriously folks. You have issue with Rabbi Horowitz?? He was proven right. Agudah even recognizes this. Agudah lost some supporters since they turned out to be so wrong on the topic of abuse. Many people are upset with them. They are trying to right the ship by inviting Rabbi Horowitz. Get your facts straight before commenting.

    1. Horowits was right? in what way? JCW had a abuse event in Monsey, and they did not invite Horowitz to speak thats his home town. Being an abuse activist does not give you a license to bash the gedolim and charedim.

    2. There are many others who can talk about abuse,Amudim org has wonderful frum therapists who are bnei Torah and the Agudah should promote them, instead of going backwards 20 years.

  4. When senior American Roshei Yeshiva held a protest against Giyus in manhattan. Rabbi Yaakov Horowitz mocked it making light if the gezeiras hashmad of going to the IDF tweeting this- "New rule?? all "askanim" organize protests must list goals/outcomes
instead of rabbonim's names. (goal on Sunday was??)"

Is this, what Agudah want to represent itself with? While Rabbi Horowitz considers himself a champion of the Abuse issue, He uses it as a front to attack anything the Gedolim take issues which dosent go according to his shittos which have become more in line with Modern Orthodoxy were he is so beloved. eLtting him speak only encourages him to continue his attacks thinking he has the backing of the Agudah.
True Rabbi Horowitz might has previously spoken at Agudah functions but his recent statements are not in line with Daas Torah of the Moetzes Gedolei Hatorah.

  5. The Agudah has its head in the sand there are so many respectable Rabbonim and askanim who dont rabble rouse or agitate but actualy get their hands dirty working with teens and victims instead they choose to go with an agitator and rabble rouser.
The Agudah is out of touch and further disconcerting themselves from the hamon am.
