O! Vey- President Obama to visit crown Heights on Erev Shabbos, Residents urged to do Shabbos shopping on Thursday.

"O! Vey" President Barack Obama's planned visit to the Pathways in Technology Early College High School in Crown Heights section of Brooklyn this friday, will close down many streets near the frum neighborhood of Crown heights. Obama's motorcade will drive thru heart of the Jewish neighborhood on Kingston Ave tomorrow afternoon, frozen zones expected. The street closures, coupled with the short Friday's has askanim telling residents to do the shabbos shopping on Thursday. According to Chabad Online The route of the presidential motorcade is kept secret but the NYPD said to expect heavy traffic.

Between 20 to 30 vehicles drive in the motorcade of the President of the United States, among them several armored vehicles, a USSS Electronic Countermeasures Suburban, a counter-assault team and Secret Service agents. The routes are selected by Secret Service agents in cooperation with local police forces. Escape routes are also established in the event of an emergency.
Vincent Martinos of the NYPD's 71st Precinct asked to publicize which streets will have heavy traffic delays on Friday, October 25, 2013 from 3:00pm to 6:00pm. He said the affected streets are Empire Boulevard from Flatbush Avenue to Kingston Avenue, and Kingston Avenue from Eastern Parkway to Empire Boulevard - the heart of the Jewish section of the neighborhood.  here will also be no parking along the route starting at midnight October 25, 2013. All parked cars will be towed.
