R’ Chaim Yechiel Rothman zt”l, Hy”d 5th Kadosh of Har Nof massacre

Hundreds of people attended the Levaya for Rabbi Chaim Yechiel Rotman, who passed away earlier today as a result of his injuries from the Har Nof synagogue massacre last November. He was 54 years old. The funeral set out from the Kehilat Bnei Torah synagogue, where the attack took place, and kevura took place in Har hamenuchos..

Fifty-five-year-old Rabbi Rotman suffered severe axe wounds to his head, and had been in a vegetative coma since the attack. He is survived by his wife and ten children.
 from Raised in Toronto, R’ Chaim Yechiel graduated from the Community Hebrew Academy of Toronto in 1979 before studying computer science at York University, where he met his wife, Risa Dodick from Windsor, Ontario. They married in August 1986. The couple lived in Eretz Yisroel for the past 30 years, raising 11 children, the youngest of whom is 4 years old.
