"Rav Aharon Shechter made it clear that if Agudath Israel Wont remain neutral, he will resign. "

I thought he already resigned, as per your prior post...

  2. I suppose it is like most resignations - it is conditional in that if you won't do the right thing, I resign.

  3. Why should Agudah remain neutral? They certainly took positions in the past (implicit or otherwise) on the issues facing the charedi community in Israel??

  4. This is a machloikes from which there is no way to avoid choosing sides.
If you invite him, it's a huge affront against the other side who have labeled him ....
If you don't invite him, RAS says you're choosing sides.

I don't see how they can get out of this.

    1. By doing what Hashem wants and not politicians!
ie. Inviting Gedolai Yisroel even if you think it will upset the reformers.

    1. Due to the leadership of the Degel party being hijacked by reformist elements (who do and say as they please- ostensibly in the name of Gedolim), Hagoan Hatzadik Rav Shmuel Auerbach and many other Gedolim and Rabonim have left it.
In revenge against these Rabbonim they have suffered increasing redifos and abuse including being excluded from the Aguda Yarchai Kalloh.
Rav Shechter and all sane frum Yidden are horrified and will do all in their power to stop this nonsense and Bizoyon Hatorah !
