Hamodia - On Thursday night, the chasunah of Ariel Beigel and Sarah-Tehiya Litman was held at Binyanei Ha’Uma in Yerushalayim.
The pain of the Litmans’ tragic deaths had been felt by all of Klal Yisrael. When the new wedding date was announced, all of Israel was invited to attend.
Rabbi Yaakov Shapira, dean of Merkaz Harav Yeshiva in Yerushalayim, served as mesader kiddushin. The sheva brachos were said by the kallah’s two grandfathers, Ashkenazi Chief Rabbi David Lau, Yerushalayim Chief Rabbi Shlomo Amar, Rabbi Chaim Druckman, and former Chevron Chief Rabbi Dov Lior, reported Arutz Sheva.
Shortly after the chuppah, Sarah-Tehiya expressed her gratitude to the public that arrived to share in their simchah.
“Up until two weeks ago, no one knew or was interested in me and Ariel, and then in one moment on Friday, at the peak of preparations, Dad and my brother were murdered by a cruel terrorist,” said Sarah-Tehiya, as quoted by Arutz Sheva.
“There isn’t a moment that I don’t miss Netanel’s smile, or father’s humility and modesty, and that will always accompany me,” she said.
“But precisely from the pain in the month of courage before Chanukah, we will, together with all the nation of Israel, spread a great light of joy, giving and love that the nation of Israel has showered upon us.”
